I know that you have heard about the kiss that Derek and Addison share…
A source tells me of Addison and Derek: “No, there’s no kiss. They are still just friends. And there is no romance between them in the crossover episode.”
Instead, the romance comes from Derek plotting his marriage proposal to Meredith, and Lexie and Sloan going public.
“If Addison and Derek kiss, I swear I am never watching Grey’s or Private Practice again!” Susan from Omaha writes.

Idiot! they are friends, and have always been close! They spent a big part of their life together so why shouldn’t they hug n be glad to see each other?! Doesn’t show they kiss does it?
Okay… there is no way that Derek and Addison Kiss! Derek LOVES Merideth! He always has! he even loved her when he was still married to Addison! SO GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS!!!
haha i thought everyone would COMPLETELY freak out over this. I think if theres a kiss it’s a strictly platonic one. They remained close friends anyone who watched the episode in season 4 where addison returned would know.
So i think the hugs is addison is being happy for Deric. In the past four seasons there has been to many reasons and occassions where Deric and Meridith are happy for a little while then something happens and they break up. Shonda Rhimes said that she was going to give them a real chance to make it work.
I think the proposal has been five years in the making. I think Meridith will have a freak out avoid deric consult in cristina and then say yes. Hope so anyway. No need to worry over addison and deric people all is swell lol
