It was rather refreshing to hear Lexie’s rant about how overcoming the odds is totally possible despite what we are told. We hear so many statistics and when people receive certain diagnoses, they often enter into the situation with dismal and even nonexistent hope. All because of “the odds” or the statistics they were told about how many people before them with the same illness survived and for how long. Well, each individual case is different, isn’t it? So, cheers to Lexie for pointing that out tonight!
