Grey’s Anatomy has been in remission lately and I think Addison is one of the missing pieces. This is obvious from last nights episode (watch Grey’s Anatomy episode 11, Blink, here in case you missed it), she brings all the characters together and that’s part of what’s been missing with the all the changes to the cast lately. Old alliances have been diminished to the point of non existence with Izzie/George, Derek/Chief Webber and Cristina has been replaced by Derek/Chief.

Even so, Grey’s is on the up. Finally, we get to see Bailey as Bailey and Cristina as Cristina. They’re such strong characters and I love to see them. There are just too many people for the storyline to really engross the audience, characters disappear into the background.

I was actually warming to Mark, the dynamic between Lexie and Mark was interesting and made sense. It feels likes it’s too late to return now with Mark in a totally different mindset “apparently”, I mean what is he thinking? He was living with his daughter but they had no relationship and now he’s giving up Lexie for her after falling harder than ever for Lexie.  And now, Sloan decides to leave so it’s all for nothing! The shock storylines are appearing more and more random.

Lexie and Alex were always going to happen so can’t wait for Izzie’s return now hmm, so who will take Izzie’s room then!

So we went from all happy couples to MerDer and Calizona all in one episode! I am enjoying the tortuous relationship between Teddy, Cristina and Owen. Cristina really needs Teddy and it’s so great to see Cristina’s determination which hasn’t really existed since Burke left. Cristina has always responded best to bittersweet torment. Just when you thought Cristina has gone all fuzzy, her determination to succeed shines through when she offers Owen as a sacrifice to Teddy. And we have ourselves an interesting storyline!

I am a little intrigued about what happens next now that Derek has found out about the Chief’s problem. Can super Derek save the day? Why does he always have to be the good guy, sympathy surgeries what? Meredith has been super boring in her post post-it bliss, her relationship with the Chief could have been so much more interesting no?
