If you’re an avid Grey’s Anatomy watcher, then it’s should be no secret to you the massive misfortunes that Arizona and Callie went through last season. That being said, it’s refreshing to know this season things will be much different for the newlyweds. Creator of the series Shonda Rhimes recently revealed this season will showcase other sides of the Grey’s couple. Therefore Jessica Capshaw and Sara Ramirez’s characters will remain stable.

This is exciting news, I definitely feel the couple deserve a little break. As well, it will be nice to see the two doctors return to their doctoring roots for a bit. Not that they weren’t doctors last season, but Rhimes also revealed fans will get a glimpse of Callie being a “badass bone surgeon.” She continued by saying they’ve had a lot of fun thus far exploring Ramirez’s character as a doctor.

Callie isn’t the only one with doctor screen time though. Rhimes added that we will get to see Arizona train Justin Chambers character Karev and will be able to see how that unravels. Come Valentine’s Day we’ve been teased that Callie will attempt to drop the baby of with Mark (Eric Dane) in hopes of having some “sexy time” with each other. Here’s hoping it works out for Callie and Arizona.
