This was a bit unexpected. Izzie and Cristina have never been very close, and one would guess George, Alex, or even Meredith would be the first person she would confide in about something so major. But, in a way, it makes sense. Cristina’s a more logical person who might be able to give her some real advice untainted by emotions or denial. The question is, is this what Izzie needs or, because of her own nature, does she need someone close to her who can hug her, cry with her, and fight to help her until the end?
