REVIEW: State of Love and Trust

First, OMG! I love Grey’s Anatomy. I have watched this episode like 3 times, just so I can talk about all the issues going on.
While many people may have their opinions about Derek as chief, and hate him for it, I like Derek. I don’t hate him for doing what he needed to do in order to become chief. I don’t think he did anything wrong. We can all remember at the end of Season 3, Richard offered him the job because he was going to retire and Derek turned it down. Derek was the one to encourage him to “do it all over again” and Richard remained.
I think Richard brought it on himself and with the new changes going on anyway with the merger I think it’s good for Seattle Grace. Even though I don’t know the story line and I don’t know what’s going to happen with Richard–(meaning I don’t know if he’s leaving the show or not and I don’t care to know…I’d rather watch it unfold…)–it would be interesting to see what happens when Richard DOES return.
The whole Yang, Hunt, and Teddy situation–which by the way I’m getting a little angry at how they are downplaying the relationship with her and Burke. For the first time, she talks about it, but negatively. And for the record, I don’t think she loves Hunt more than she loved Burke, but if she loves it, then I like it. I still don’t think that they’re right for each other–and by the way, I did not like the comment Derek made about their relationship–but we’ll get back to that in a minute. Hunt clearly doesn’t know how to love her and he said so himself. Burke on the other hand, knew how, because they were the same–it was hard to get Christina to LET him and there is a difference. Then there’s that classic performance about how she won’t let another man take pieces of her. I love Yang’s character and I hope that they keep Teddy because I like her too. Ever since Third Watch, I’ve been a big fan of Kim Raver and I think she adds to the show. I’m waiting to see what eventually will happen with all of them.
Now back to what Derek said. He called Burke’s and Christina’s relationship monosyllabic. Can anybody tell me what the heck he meant by that? He said he never got their relationship, so what does he mean by monosyllabic? Does he mean that the relationship was complicated? Does he even have a right to judge? This from a man who’s married to someone on a post it??!!
And who is the McCutie that’s flirting with Bailey?? I don’t know where he came from, but I love him! I really hope that they decide to keep him and spice up Bailey’s role with him. I love her “Nazi” thing and I hope she never changes…but it would be nice to see her dating again. Things could get pretty interesting. We could see another side to Bailey.
I don’t really care to comment about Mark and Lexie right now. I’m not taking sides and don’t really care where that relationship goes. It took me two years to like her so I’m hoping they do good things with her character. Lastly….I may not be abreast on all the news of Grey’s because I don’t like spoilers…but has Kathryn Heigl left the show? Or is she just doing other things and is soon to return? I hope she returns. Either way…I love this show.

I feel the same, i really don’t care if mark and lexie get back together. I absolutely hate Hunt and Yang together and could not believe that she missed surgery for him. I miss Burke’s character so much, he was so dynamic and there relationship was very interesting.
In my opinion Alex is the most interesting character on the show. you never know what to expect out of him next. miss izzy x 100.
Over the years I’ve grown to like Alex. And I was especially happy when he and Izzy “officially” got together. I just don’t know what’s up with these writers. It seems as though she can’t cut a break with relationships. From Denny to George and then playing ping pong with Alex, it’s crazy. I, for one, was very upset with the story line surrounding George, Izzie and Callie. I was so mad when he left Callie for Izzie and then they didn’t even stay together. No sexual chemistry. Sooo mad. And now when I finally like Alex, and Izzie seems to get her happy ending, despite the cancer, here we go with the writers making them “break up.” I mean what is that about? (The only thing I can think of would be is that Katherine is working on other projects and she needed to take a leave of absense from the show)…. If that is the case, then I’m hoping there’s still hope for their relationship because I really think that they have a good relationship. Alex is kinda her best friend and to see them not together, is really bad.
I’m glad that someone else agrees with me about Burke. I so hope they at least bring him back for ONE episode…or a couple of episodes. All that stuff that happened is washed under the rug (or should be) and T.R.Knight is not even on the show anymore. So for the love of Grey’s Anatomy, bring Preston Burke Back!!
